Turkana Sponsorship.

Turkana

Turkana County is one of the poorest counties in Kenya, and home to a good number of children who lack education. This project addresses the need to empower the younger generation with education. There is an extremely high dropout rate and many children enter into drugs and substance abuse. Education becomes a luxury for those who can afford it while the poor in the region are left without access to this human right. This project will see the children’s welfare taken into consideration in the education sector. Through some changes in the government structure, there are now jobs available within Turkana. These jobs are available for those who have a quality education.

Sponsor a student today and bring education to this hurting community.

Ekutan James Ekadeli

Meet Ekutan! He is in Class 8 (8th grade) in Turkana, the northernmost part of Kenya. In a challenging environment with both parents and seven siblings, they struggle to generate income by selling charcoal and brooms, which leads them to be unable to afford Ekutan’s school fees and other essentials. Ekutan is determined and aspires to become a teacher. Sponsorship can help him achieve his dreams despite his family’s hardships.
