Equipping Moms for Life.

We partner with Wakisa Ministries, a pregnancy center in Uganda for teen girls. A lot of these girls have been abandoned by their families, have been abused, and have nowhere else to turn. Wakisa takes them in and cares for them by providing education on pregnancy, counseling to process trauma, and skills to equip these expecting mothers for life.

This project provides various vocational skills to moms through local courses, such as tailoring, cookery, hairdressing, knitting, agriculture and more. The hope is to empower self-sustaining employment which will in turn provide stability for them and their children. Business skills and start-up kits will be offered as able, alongside the vocational opportunities, to improve the chances of success.
