I’ll never forget the look of relief

“I stood with Epsi, her dad and siblings, and our partner in the darkness of their small straw home. Epsi had attended our feeding center in Chennai and had received some backpacks of school supplies from us in the past. But now she was older and the costs of continuing even onto 11th grade overwhelmed the family and seemed impossible. I’ll never forget the look of relief and thankfulness on her dad’s face when we told him we could give his daughter a scholarship. It was a beautiful moment.” – Cynci

Some students in India already have a connection with The Hope Venture, either through our Backpack Project, our Feeding Centers, or even our Javadhu Hills Project. Due to living in extreme poverty, they lack the funds to access quality and/or further education. A $220 donation provides a scholarship to help these students improve their educational opportunities or even pursue higher education.
